Environmental projects
Kyivstar embodies its environmental responsibility through environment-friendly products and services, as well as proper technical solutions and environmental events. Within the “Resufe frome the paper bills, save a tree” campaign, around 19 000 Kyivstar contract subscribers refused from receiving paper bills and saved 173 trees from cutting in 2009. Another 237 trees were planted by Kyivstar in collaboration with its clients in 8 cities of Ukraine.
On the Earth Day Company’s volonteers greened up and landscaped the cities: planted flowers, trees, cleaned up the green territories.
Kyivstar volonteers together with citizens planted decorative pine trees, presented by the company for the 75th anniversary of the National Botanic garden. Collective specimens of the decorative pines have become a part of the “Autumn” exposition at the “Seasons” area. Kyivstar Company and environmental professionals paid special attention to the planning of this area. Botanic garden workers carried out an experticse regarding best time, place for the planting and seedling selection. Therefore, the young trees will be provided with the necessary professional care.
The Company increases energy efficiency in the network equipment, reduces CO2 emissions and reduces consumption of natural resources. Kyivstar volunteers take actions in 20 cities in Ukraine annually — they clean up green zones, plant trees and floral arrangements along with customers and townspeople.
